Access to our motorways is permitted to quick-minded drivers only!

TAKE A STOP

WE 4 YOU
When you drive, you'd better be "off alone than in bad company". Remember: when "weariness" is your travel mate, then you're in very bad company.

This is why Motorway Operators designed rest areas, service stations, parking areas and emergency bays to be located at predetermined distances. Although the Italian territory is rich in mountains and deep valleys, where this kind of safety feature can be barely provided, we dedicate ourselves and our investments in keeping you safe. In return, you are asked to make use of all the means you are offered. Don't wait until it's too late to pull in a service station and have a rest.

When?
Especially during long journeys.
What?
Lapses of attention on the motorway, due to, e.g., a sense of drowsiness caused by a combination of repetitive visual stimuli and fatigue, are one of the greatest dangers ever to affect drivers. When you travel long distances, it is appropriate to stop frequently and have short breaks or do some exercises. To train your eyes, read road signs or shift your gaze to various points of the carriageway. If you can't keep your head up or perceive a loss of concentration, even a minimum one, that means you need TO STOP. Rest a bit! Just the time necessary for a 10 or 20 minute rest and then you can drive on.
Why?
The motorway system is designed to be very safe, provided that the drivers are attentive. A slight distraction might cost very dear to you and the other users.
